Nevertheless, the application process for these available scholarships for Nigerian students can be very simple as you fill in your information online on the scholarship portal and upload some required documents on the portal, in some cases, mail the required documents to the school you are applying to or the scholarship sponsors.

Ongoing scholarships in Nigeria 2021

some of these available scholarships for Nigerian students are Full ride scholarships until they complete their undergraduate, masters or doctoral programs.

However, you will not receive these scholarships if you are not qualified for them or if you do not submit all the required documents with your application. Hence, you need to critically review each scholarship and make sure that you are applying for the scholarship for which you are most qualified.

Documents Required for Undergraduate Scholarships for Nigerian Students 2021

Nigerian students are often required to upload the following documents when applying for any of the Ongoing Nigerian scholarships. These scholarships include:

  • Passport photograph
  • Admission Letter (From School or JAMB)
  • School ID Card
  • Local Government of Origin identification
  • O’level Result
  • JAMB Result
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identification Number (NIN). This is optional in most cases.

Documents Required For Post-Graduate Scholarships for Nigerian Students 2021

It is important you know that some of the documents that you will have to submit for the Nigerian scholarship application process are the same ones that the university will request from you when you apply for a Master’s 2021 degree or Ph.D. degree. See the required documents for Post-Graduate Scholarships in Nigeria 2021:

  • Completed scholarship application form.
  • Copy of passport/ID.
  • Copies of transcripts/diplomas.
  • Statement of Purpose/Letter of motivation.
  • Letter of recommendation (1 or 2)
  • CV (Curriculum Vitae)/Resume.
  • Standardized test scores

Additional Documents

After submitting the documents for any of the above categories, you may also be required to submit the following additional documents.

Postgraduate

  • Certificate of graduation/bachelor’s degree

Ph.D./Research

  • Certificate of graduation/master’s degree
  • Research proposal.

Note: These documents may differ with respect to the concerned scholarship. International Scholarships have their own separate documents.
