Is Illinois Institute Of Technology Hard To Get Into?

Because this school is moderately selective, high academic performance almost guarantees you admission.

A score of 1450 SAT or 30 ACT or higher almost guarantees you admission. Since the school accepts 52.7% of all applicants, if you are significantly above average, your acceptance rate increases to almost 100%.

If you can get a high SAT/ACT score, the rest of your application doesn’t matter. You must still meet the rest of the application requirements, and your GPA must not be too far from a high school GPA of 3.98.

But you don’t need great extracurriculars and awesome letters of recommendation to get in. You can get in based on results alone.

But if your SAT score is 1230 or ACT 25 or below, you have a good chance of being one of the unlucky few to be denied.

How To Apply To Illinois Institute Of Technology

When you apply, you must list all the institutions you attended — whether or not you received a degree, even if you received credit from the next institution.

Scan a copy of your official and original paper transcript, individual mark sheets, or electronic transcript provided to you by your institution’s registrar. For example, students from India must submit individual mark sheets.

DO NOT upload to the website an academic transcript from your institution or a document that states that it is not an official transcript.

Please note that certified copies are not accepted and therefore processing may be delayed. You must include an official English translation if your official transcripts are not published in English.

If you are receiving transcripts or mark sheets from the school, we allow you to remove the envelope seal so that you can then scan and upload your documents.

Make sure all critical and identifying marks are scanned and legible. These include the name of the institution, your name, the names of your courses and the grades you have received.

It is important that you scan both the front and back (if there is information on the back) of your documents: we will need to review the information provided on the back of your documents regarding credit hours, institution grading scale, etc.

All files MUST be in PDF format.

If the degree is completed, you MUST upload your original degree certificate or pre-certificate along with your academic transcripts or mark sheets.
