What GPA Do I Need To Get Into MassArt?

The average GPA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design is 3.45. With a GPA of 3.45, Massachusetts College of Art and Design requires you to be about average in your high school class.

The Admissions Committee begins reviewing completed applications in January. Applications received after the priority deadlines are considered on a rolling basis, subject to availability. Complete your application early to receive your decision on time.

FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY: DECEMBER 1

If MassArt is your first college choice, you may want to consider Early Action. This option is for students in good academic standing who have completed their portfolio by December 1st.

Decisions on early action applicants are published in early January. To participate in early action, you must:

  • Submit all application requirements by December 1st
  • Indicate your interest in Early Action in your application

Note that if you are not accepted into Early Action, you will not be automatically reviewed before the regular deadlines. Also, if you are not accepted through the Early Action program, you will have to wait a year to reapply.

Early adoption is not the same as early decision, which is mandatory; you are not required to attend MassArt if you accept Early Action, and you will have until May 1st (the universal RSVP deadline) to decide whether you will attend.
