Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is glad to announce its annual NLNG  Scholarships Scheme 2021-2022. The scholarship is open to all levels of study.

Thus, the NLNG scholarships provide financial support to students who might otherwise not be able to afford their studies and are aimed at recognizing and rewarding academic excellence.

NLNG is poised to deliver quality when it comes to education and human capital development.

Nevertheless, this is not the only multinational scholarship available in Nigeria, we have  Exxon Mobil Scholarship, agbami scholarship, shell scholarship, Addax scholarship, Agip scholarship, Chevron scholarship, NPDC scholarship, MTN scholarships, and more.

What Level of Study is eligible to apply for NLNG Scholarship?

This scholarship scheme is divided into three levels:

NLNG Number of Award

#1. NLNG Post Primary Scholarship

The program aims to provide financial assistance to secondary school students.

The most successful six-person in the company’s host communities who wrote the selection exams is awarded this NLNG post primary scholarship.

The program started in 2012 with 28 beneficiaries and grew to 342 beneficiaries by 2019 with a total of N825,300,000 ($ 2.697 million) spent to date.

Prospective students are accepted into the system by submitting an application on the company’s website based on specified criteria.

Thus, a selection test is then carried out to place the best candidates among the best.

What are the NLNG Post Primary scholarship Eligibility Criteria?

#2. NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship

This was founded as a core component of NLNG education intervention program for our host communities in 1998 and opened to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.

A total of 3,416 undergraduates from various universities in Nigeria have benefited from the program and 768.9 million naira ($ 2.5130 million) have been invested in it.

The introduction of online applications and the use of social media (Facebook) for information dissemination in 2012 made the selection process more efficient and cost-effective, and raised awareness of the program.

The value of the scholarship is 150,000 N per year for the duration of the course of each scholarship holder.

The system has been revised from 150 beneficiaries per year to 300 from the 2018/2019 academic year.

#3. NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship

This program was launched in October 2012 with an annual influx of 15 scholars to study at leading UK universities.

The program includes the following fields of study:

environmental science, engineering, management, accounting, economics, computer science, geology, banking, law, and medicine.

The 2019 winners have started their programs at various UK universities.

78 people have benefited from the program to date with total spending of 1.308 billion naira ($ 4.27 million).

To be taken at (country): Scholarships are available in the following UK Universities: the University of Aberdeen, University of Cranfield.
