That being said, there are different categories for this scholarship.

What are the APDNL Scholarships 2021 Categories?

There are two major categories for the  Addax Petroleum Development (Nigerian) Limited scholarships. Namely

The Host Communities Merit Award 

This category of NNPC scholarship for undergraduates is only open to students from APDNL Host Communities. 

That is to say, if you are an indigene of the following APDNL Host Communities state (Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Imo State) you are eligible to apply for the NNPC/ADDAX Host Communities Merit Award. 

The National Merit  Awards 

As the name suggests, it is a scholarship open to all nationals. The National Merit  Awards is awarded to non-indigene,

Therefore if you are not from Rivers state, Akwa Ibom, or Imo state, you are eligible to apply for this category of the scholarship scheme.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the petroleum company through which the Nigerian federal government regulates and participates in the country’s petroleum industry.

To contribute to the Nigerian community, the introduction of the NNPC Student Scholarship has been a welcome development that has produced bright and talented Nigerian students with no hope of graduation over the years.

NNPC/ADDAX scholarship worth:

The scholarship is worth N 100,000 annually throughout your study year for university students but for polytechnic students, it’s only for the OND Ordinary National Diploma(2years).

Over the years, students applying for this scholarship typically send their applications and documents to an email address provided, but this is not the case this year. The application method has changed and we want you to carefully follow the steps below.

What to Do when You Are on the SCHOLASTICA.NG website

1.    Click on “Apply Now” tab.

2.    Click on “Register Now” to create an account.

3.    Proceed to your email box to activate your account
4.    Click on www.Scholastica.ng/schemes/to return to Scholarship site
5.    Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
6.    Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information, and upload required scanned documents.

7.    Ensure the name used in the application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
8.    Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
9.    When asked to upload a photo, a passport photograph with a white background is preferable.
10.  Recheck application information to avoid errors
11.  Click “Apply Now” to submit information
12.  You will receive an email and a SMS that confirms your application was successful.
13.  Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
14.  Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.
15.  If the National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)

• Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
• Click “Create Account” and fill in the required  fields
• Login with Email and Password to complete the form
• After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture
• Visit any of the capture centers https://www.nimc.gov.ng to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
• You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office

16. Return to www.scholastica.ng/ and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

NNPC / ADDAX Scholarship Important Note:

• Applications for the scholarship award without all the credentials stated above will be rejected.
• Any candidate currently a beneficiary of a Scholarship of any kind Is not eligible to apply.
• Dependants of employees of Addax are not eligible to apply.
• Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship Board
• Obtaining NIN is not compulsory in order to complete your application

NNPC/ADDAX Scholarships Aptitude test venues

Applicants must indicate their preferred center for the test Centers are

1. Abuja
2. Lagos
3. Owerri
4. Port Harcourt

NOTE: The aptitude test will take place at designated centers to be communicated to applicants on a later date and applicants are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from Aptitude test centers.
